Other News about the Club and More

Its hard to believe, but our 30th Annual Car Show will be June 13th., 2010. We want to make it a banner 30th. anniversary, so plan to register and show your vehicle or vehicles, or just come to look at and appreciate all the beautifully kept or restored cars, pickups, tractors, doodle bugs, and motorcycles. Oh, and don't forget the flea market. A 20' x 20' space is FREE this year.

To build up participation in the flea market we plan to let spaces 'free', this one year so reserve a space and show your wares and whatever you do, bring yourself and friends to the show. You and your friends are also urged to consider becoming new members, whether you can make it to the show or not. Achieving a big gain in Membership is a priority for 2010.

Remember we are an official region of AACA (Antique Auto Club of America) and as a member, you can enter your vehicle in any AACA National Meet. You could be very proud to win a National Trophy, and it doesn't hurt you vehicle's value either. You get the bi-monthly AACA magazine, a beautiful publication full of pictures, stories about owners and their vehicles of all years from all around the world.
For more information about our car shows, you may call Gerald Mitchell, President, at 607-267-6004. Any potential vendors should be in touch with Ernie Whitacre at 607-967-5815.

On Saturday, June 12th, 2010, many of our club members will be driving their cars in the annual Sidney Federal Credit Union parade, so don’t forget to be out along the parade route and wave as we drive by. Better yet, if you're not an Algonquin club member, enter your car through the SFCU. We certainly hope Mother Nature will look kindly on us for both days.

Our club holds no meetings during the prime Car Show season of July through September, but we will be getting together for a picnic at Copes Corners sometime in August. The exact date will be published at a later time. The regular meetings will resume with the first Sunday in October at 2:00 p.m. in the Bainbridge Museum. We always welcome new, interested individuals. So, please bring a little something for the buffet table and plan on joining our social/informal meetings.

Just a bit of additional membership information:
As an Official Algonquin Region of the AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America), if you belong to another AACA regional club, membership to 'Algonquin Antique Automobile Club' (AAAC) is FREE.

Be sure to look at our link to "Upstate NY-N.E. Pa Car Show Listings" to find out where and when all this years events will be.

If you're interested in stories and pictures of some ongoing restoration projects or undriveable vehicles in our members barns, or if you have a story and pictures I'll add a page for it. Bill & Charlie have started a couple of stories. Read what's there.
